- Generic Inquiry: The foundation of the solution involves a Generic Inquiry that pulls data from two key tables: “BP Event” and “BP Event History”.
- Inner Join: These tables are linked using an “inner join” in the Generic Inquiry to combine relevant data.
- Filters: The inquiry incorporates filters to target specific business events, enabling users to focus on events relevant to their needs. For instance, it can pinpoint failures related to the “Sales versus Forecast” event.
- Status Condition: A crucial condition within the inquiry examines the “BP Event History.Status” field. This allows for identifying events marked as “Failed” and isolating those specific instances.
- Dashboard Visualization: The results of the Generic Inquiry, specifically the failed events, are then visually represented in a custom-built dashboard.
